Arsenal’s Mesut Ozil will discuss a new deal with the club after the European Championships, according to Sky Sports.
The midfielder’s future has been under the spotlight with some reports claiming he is considering a move away from the Emirates this summer.
However, Sky Sports believes the player is very happy at the Emirates and will sign a new contract at the club when he returns from international duties with Germany.
It is believed that the player isn’t seeking a move away from the club despite the reported interest in his services
The midfielder has two years left in his contract and it is understood that talks were scheduled after the European Championships and not before. Speaking on his future last week, Ozil said:
“I still have two years contract with Arsenal, as you know, and we will be in talks with the club and we’ll see what happens in the future.
“But as I said, now I’m concentrating on Euro 2016 in France, which is very important for me and my team after the last World Cup. Then later on, I will see what I do with Arsenal.”
Ozil is a very influential member of the team providing 18 assists for his teammates in the League this season.
