Arsenal’s attempts to sign N’Golo Kante has become a bit harder after the player’s claimed he is happy at Leicester City.
The PFA team of the year midfielder has been heavily linked with a move to the Emirates. Reports last week suggested the midfielder has turned down Leicester’s new deal and could still leave the club should his £20m release clause be activated.
However, when asked about his future, the midfielder insists he is happy at the King Power Stadium and isn’t paying attention to the rumours.
“For now, I am happy at Leicester. I do not pay too much attention to everything that is said. For now, I am in Leicester and I focus on the Euros, as quoted by 101 greatgoals.”
Despite the player’s claim that he is happy at his current club, French publication Le Parisien are adamant that the player has set his heart on a move to the Emirates this summer, hence the reason he rejected Leicester’s attempts to offer him a new deal. PSG are also keen on the midfielder’s services. It’s no surprise that Kante is being sought after this much, the midfielder was impressive throughout the entire campaign after joining Leicester from Caen for about £5m last summer. He was even regarded as one of the signing of the season and should Leicester lose the midfield enforcer, it wouldn’t come as a surprise as the 25 year old has earned the right to move to a big club.
