Arsenal youngster Dan Crowley is set for a loan move this summer in order to gain first team experience.
Crowley, 18, is an important member of the Gunners youth team and was hoping to make an impact in the first team next season. The midfielder has now revealed he held talks with Wenger and the French man told him he isn’t physically prepared for life in the Premier League.
The midfielder will now be seeking a loan move to a lower league as he is keen to garner first team experience.
“I have spoken to the boss and he says I’m not physically ready for the Premier League just yet,” he told the Coventry Telegraph, as quoted by Football Insider.
“That’s fair enough and I completely agree because it’s a tough league on your body and there’s so much running that people don’t realise.”
The midfielder also insisted he will carefully make his decision when choosing the club to join as he wants to play for a team that fits his style of football.
“It’s going to have to be the right club from a football perspective. I want a team that play the right football because the way I play I can’t just go to any team.
The slightly built midfielder is known to flourish in an open attacking football system. Crowley spent 3 months on loan at Barnsley last season featuring 13 times for the League one side and will be looking forward to another successful loan spell albeit a longer one this time around.
