Celtic midfielder Tom Rogic has been urged to join Arsenal by former Australia international, Peter Raskopoulos.
Rogic was impressive for Celtic throughout the entire campaign and Wenger has been reportedly monitoring the midfielder. Arsenal are believed to be weighing up an £8m bid for the central midfielder as Wenger looks to bolster his midfield options and Rogic has been urged not to turn down the opportunity of moving to the Emirates.
“I adore watching Tommy Rogic,” Raskopoulos told Socceroos.com.au, as quoted by HITC sport.
“He’s something special and I hope he’s overcome his injuries and I hope that he does move to Arsenal as the rumours suggest.
“I think the more European league in the EPL will suit him better than the bustle and roughness of the Scottish league.
“The Scottish league is a hard league and Tommy will be suited to Arsenal much better. It’s a club where we’ll see Tommy making a huge name for himself.
“He just looks a different class right now. He looks like when Viduka and Kewell were in their prime. He’s a half a pass above anyone on the park right now.”
Rogic is highly rated at Celtic and the Scottish club’s new boss Bredan Rodgers is reportedly keen on the midfielder to stay at Celtic park and would try to make it difficult for Arsenal should Wenger step up his interests.
