Theo Walcott has been sounded out about a possible move to Liverpool this summer, according to Football insider.
Liverpool are weighing the possibility of tabling a bid worth £25m for the winger this summer. It is believed that the Merseysiders are prepared to offer the player a four-year deal worth as much as £120,000 a week which will bring the total cost to around £50m in both transfer fee and wages.
A source close to Football Insider has revealed that intermediaries have contacted Walcott in order to know if he will be open to a move to Anfield.
Arsenal are prepared to strengthen it’s centre forward position and it’s right wing this summer, two positions where Walcott is usually deployed and the club could be tempted to sell the England international should they receive a bid of £25m. But should the club’s £25m valuation not be met, Wenger would be more than happy to keep Walcott at the Emirates next season. The player himself is reportedly keen on staying at the Emirates as he plans to fight for a place in Arsene Wenger’s starting xi next season.
Walcott has scored 85 goals in 343 appearances for Arsenal since joining the club in 2006.
