Arsenal seem to have received a massive boost in its search for a striker as some reports claim Jamie Vardy could still make the move to Arsenal.
Arsenal activated the £20m release clause in the player’s contract early this month, the player was offered a four year deal worth around £120,000 a week and Wenger was hoping for a quick decision from the forward. The club reportedly put things in place to complete the player’s medical before the England team moved to France but the 29 year old decided to take time to make a decision on his future.
It is believed the striker is leaning towards staying at the King Power Stadium, rejecting Arsenal in the Process.
However, Skysports via The Sport Review claims the 29 year old Leicester City man could still complete a move to the Emirates.
The report believes Vardy hasn’t decided yet and could still make up his mind to move to the Emirates after the Euro 2016 championship.
Leicester City are desperate for their striker to remain at the club and have offered the player a new deal to match Arsenal’s offer.
Vardy scored 24 league goals for Leicester last season, breaking the record of scoring in 11 consecutive games in the process.
