Arsenal fans would be hoping this summer doesn’t go bad for them as Juventus are intensifying efforts to sign Alexis Sanchez.
According to the Express, Sanchez’ agent has been in regular contact with Juventus over a move to Turin.
The report claims the move could cost Juventus as much as £37.2m. Sanchez has two years left in his contract and is yet to sign a new deal with the Gunners despite the club’s willingness to offer him a new long-term deal.
Juventus interest in Sanchez appears to be concrete as former Juve midfielder Mauro Camoranesi has revealed he was told of the Old Lady’s interest in the winger.
“I heard that it could be Alexis Sanchez. He knows the Italian football,” the former Juventus man told Goal .
“He has the speed to cause problems for opposition defences, he will be joining a team with a winning mentality and I think it can be a great opportunity for him and Juve could get more out of him.
“Alexis is a different player. You have already [Mario] Mandzukic and [Paulo] Dybala, and with Alexis they can make a stronger attack.”
It is believed Juventus want Sanchez to replace Real Madrid bound Alvaro Morata but we expect Wenger to disappoint the Italian giants by holding on to Sanchez.
Sanchez is a key part of the Gunners team and would be crucial to our chances of winning the league next season, hence losing him this summer is not an option.
