Arsenal have suffered another massive blow in its pursuit for a striker.
The Gunners are in need of a top striker and Wenger is actively working to sign one. The club recently failed to sign Jamie Vardy from Leicester City and have missed out on another target again according to reports circulating this morning.
Reports making the round states Lyon president Jean-Michel Aulas revealed the 25-year-old Alexandre Lacazette will not leave the club this summer.
“We have had a few calls, but Alexandre will stay,” Aulas told Canal+.
“I think it is his desire and the coach [Bruno Genesio] counts on him.
Lacazette has been heavily linked with a move to the Emirates this summer with West Ham and Arsenal reportedly interested in signing him.
It is claimed that Lyon has already rejected two bids of £31m and £32m from West Ham for the striker with the French club insisting their valuation must be met.
It is believed Wenger would drop his interest in Lacazette if Marseille are not be prepared to reduce their asking price.
