Arsenal goalkeeper Wojciech Szczesny has revealed he doesn’t know what the future holds for him.
The goalkeeper’s season long loan at Roma ended last month and he doesn’t know where he would be spending next season.
Szczesny enjoyed his loan spell at Roma and has already revealed he wants to remain at the Italian club next year but Roma have been unable to reach an agreement with Arsenal over the services of the goalkeeper.
When asked by reporters about his future, the goalkeeper revealed he doesn’t know anything yet and is unsure if a move to Roma would happen.
“I’d love to know,” Szczesny said. “I really don’t know. For now I was focused on the Euros, I tried to recover from my injury. Unfortunately, it didn’t happen in time but now I have time to relax, for holidays and maybe think about my future.”
The goalkeeper also talked on reports linking Arsene Wenger with the England job. Although he believes the Gunners boss will be a perfect candidate for the Three Lions job but he wants him to remain at Arsenal.
“I am sure he would be a great thing for England, but my main interest is Arsenal football club and I hope it doesn’t happen, for the sake of Arsenal, not for the sake of England.
“Obviously England had a disappointing time at Euro 2016 and changes will be made, but hopefully that will not affect our club. I hope it is something that will not happen because he is doing a fantastic job at Arsenal and I’d love to see him stay there.”
