Arsenal are interested in signing Gonzalo Higuain after Wenger made signing a world class striker his priority this summer, according to 90min.com.
Gooners have been calling for the club to sign a world class striker for sometime and it appears our wishes would be granted this summer. The club is very keen on a striker and Higuain appears to be on Wenger’s wish list as he prepares to challenge Jose Mourinho and Pep Guardiola for the title next term.
According to Italian Journalist Emanuele Giulianelli via the report, Arsenal have made a move to sign Higuain and have made a formal enquiry for the striker.
The Journalist revealed this via his twitter account, he tweeted:
“Arsenal want to take advantage from the situation of Higuain with Napoli and have asked informations to his brother Nicolas.”
The report claims Wenger is exploring the possibility of signing the striker having missed out on Jamie Vardy last month.
Higuain is not a new name to Arsenal fans as the striker has been linked with a move to the Emirates since his days at Real Madrid.
He has only gone from strength to strength since switching Madrid for Napoli and should Wenger be able to bring the striker to the Emirates this summer, it will be a massive coup.
Higuain scored 36 Serie A goals in 35 appearances for Napoli last season and is also being linked with a move to Chelsea.
