Arsenal have tabled a £43m ($55.62M) bid to sign Germany international Julian Draxler, according to reports.
Wenger is reportedly keen on bolstering his attacking options this summer but it is believed that the French man’s priority is signing a Centre forward to compete with Olivier Giroud next season but that hasn’t stopped the club from being linked with a host of attacking midfielders. We have been linked with Henrikh Mkhitaryan and Riyad Mahrez already this summer but the former has already completed a move to Manchester United and Leicester are reluctant to allow the latter leave, hence Wenger has turned his attentions to Draxler.
According to ESPN via the Sun, Arsenal have tabled a bid worth more than £40m for Draxler.
Arsene Wenger is a fan of Draxler and has been consistently linked with a move for the young winger in the last couple of summer but Wenger is determined to get his man this time around after the 22 year old impressed at the Euro 2016 tournament with Germany.
It is unknown if Wenger would still pursue a move for a striker should he decide to sign Draxler but the winger who scored ten goals for Wolfsburg last season will definitely be a welcome addition to a squad who is in dire need of quality to enable us challenge for the title next term.
