Arsenal are now favourites to sign Real Madrid striker Alvaro Morata.
The 23 year old is heavily linked with a move to the Premier League with Chelsea and Arsenal said to be keen on the striker.
According to the Daily Mirror via Goal, Morata has already set his heart on moving to the Emirates should he move to the Premier League this summer.
Real Madrid recently activated the €30m buy back clause in the contract that took the player to Juventus two years ago and it is believed they could sell him for a huge profit this summer.
Some report claims Madrid are preparing to spend big this summer and would need to sell some players in order to keep up with FFP rules and are willing to sell Morata.
The report claims Morata would prefer a move to Arsenal over Chelsea as he wants to play Champions League football next term.
However, Madrid’s £65m price tag could be a problem as Wenger is not prepared to pay that much for Morata. The 23 year old is a striker with a lot of potential but Wenger believes he isn’t worth that much now.
Arsenal will turn to other targets should they fail to agree a fee with Real Madrid.
