Arsenal have been told how much they need to pay for Alvaro Morata, according to reports.
The striker has been heavily linked with a move to the Emirates as Wenger has made signing a striker one of his priorities this summer.
Real Madrid sold the striker to Juventus two years ago but inserted a £23m buy back clause in the player’s contract. The Spanish club have triggered the player’s buy back clause this summer. It is believed Madrid are not prepared to sell the striker but Morata is not prepared to sit on the bench and would insist the club gives him assurances over playing time. It is claimed Morata would push for an exit if Madrid cannot guarantee him first team action and the Spanish giants have now indicated that interested clubs must cough out as much as £50m ( $66.69M ) if they are to sell the striker, according to the Daily Express.
Wenger is very keen on Morata, some report claims the Gunners are prepared to double the player’s wages but are unwilling to meet the £50m transfer fee.
Chelsea boss Antonio Conte is also a fan of the striker and is prepared to rival Arsenal for his signature.
Morata scored 27 goals in 93 appearances for Juventus in the two years he spent at the club.
