Arsenal have rejected Juventus attempts to sign Alexis Sanchez, the Italian club has confirmed.
Juventus have been linked with a move for the Chilean international but they will now have to turn their attentions to other targets.
The Italian giants were hoping to replace Alvaro Morata with Sanchez but Arsenal have told them they have no plans to sell the 27 year old.
Juventus Sporting director Giuseppe Marotta has revealed they were interested in Sanchez but were turned down by Arsenal when they approached the club.
When questioned about the club’s interest in Sanchez, Marotta said:
“Sanchez is a great player, but Arsenal told us they have no intention of selling.”
“Arsenal said that the Chilean attacker is non-transferable and that he is not on the market.”
Bayern Munich have also been linked with a move for the winger but Arsenal are looking to tie the forward to a new deal.
The 27-year-old recently led the Chile national team to the Copa America trophy for the second year in a row and is also a key member of the Gunners side, scoring 13 league goals last season.
Arsenal fans would be happy that the winger is off the market as he is expected to play a crucial role in the club’s title challenge next season.
