Arsenal have made an attempt to sign Inter Milan defender Jeison Murillo, according to reports.
The centre back position is one that Wenger wants to strengthen this summer and it appears the French tactician is looking at the possibility of signing Murillo.
It is believed Inter Milan are willing to sell the defender this summer and a lot of clubs have indicated their interest in signing the Colombian centre-half.
According to Sky Italia via Redlondon.net, Arsenal are one of the clubs interested in Murillo, the Gunners have already made enquiries about the possibility of signing the 24-year-old.
The report added that Inter Milan have told the club that it would take a fee of €18.5m to sign the defender.
The report also claimed Arsenal are yet to table an official offer but the player’s camp have already held discussions with our representatives.
Murillo is a national teammate of David Ospina and the pair helped Colombia to 3rd place in the just concluded Copa America tournament.
Chelsea and Manchester United have also been linked with the defender but it is believed Wenger sees him as the man to partner Koscielny next season and will work hard to sign the defender ahead of our rivals.
