Arsenal are interested in signing Juventus Centre-back Daniel Rugani, according to reports.
Wenger has been linked with a lot of centre-backs this summer and until the club signs one, we don’t expect the links to disappear. The latest being linked with a move to the Emirates is Daniel Rugani.
According to Italian Journalist Gianluca Di Marzio via Sport Italia, Arsenal are keeping tabs on the 21 year old centre back. The report claims Juventus are not looking to sell the defender this summer unless something happens before the end of the transfer window. Juventus are reportedly keen on Bayern Munich’s Medhi Benatia and it is believed they could decide to let Rugani leave should they sign the Bayern Munich man.
However, RedLondon.net claims Juventus will hold out for a fee of £8m should they decide to sell the young defender.
Wenger is said to be looking for a defender who would move into the first eleven immediately but there are doubts whether Rugani would be able to start ahead of Gabriel Paulista and Per Mertesacker. Should Wenger complete a move for Rugani, we would assume the French man is keeping an eye on the future and move for a more established centre back like subotic to partner Koscielny next term.
