Arsenal are looking to reach an agreement to sign Olympic Lyon striker Alexandre Lacazette, according to reports.
The French striker has been linked with a move to the Emirates in the last few weeks and it appears the French man ha stepped up his interest in the 25-year-old international.
According to Get French Football News via the Sport Review, Arsenal are yet to contact the French international’s camp or Lyon to discuss a deal to sign the striker.
The report also added that Arsenal are instead hoping to contact the player’s representative by using a third party agent.
It is believed the Gunners are prepared to pay as much as £42m for the striker’s services and would now indicate it’s interest via 3rd party agents.
Lacazette is highly rated by the French club and are determined to hold on to the striker or get a hefty fee should they be forced to sell.
West Ham have also been linked with the forward with reports claiming the East London club have had two bids rejected already.
Wenger is very keen on signing a striker and the French man is not expected to stop the chase of a top class forward until he signs one. In my opinion, Lacazette fits the bill of a world class striker after proving himself in the French Ligue 1 in the last few seasons.
