Arsenal target Julian Draxler would not be moving to the Emirates this summer, according to a report in the Sport Review.
The Germany international has been linked with a move to Arsenal with reports claiming the club has tabled a €50m bid for the 22-year-old. It now appears the Gunners bid has been turned down as the German club have now ruled out the sale of the German international.
Wolfsburg director Klaus Allofs has revealed they are not looking to sell the 22-year-old and he would be an important part of their squad as they attempt to get back to the Champions League next term.
“With Julian Draxler it will be 100% like this,” Allofs told Sport1 . “He will stay. There is no discussion.
Allofs added: “It is not the time for any vow, but we will not give Julian [away]. Even when I say this as clearly, no peace will come. But our plans are clear.”
Manchester United and Liverpool are also interested in the forward but would now have to turn their attentions to other targets.
Draxler joined Wolfsburg from Schalke 04 last summer and was impressive in his first season scoring 6 league goals for the Bundesliga side.
