Arsenal are fuming with Manchester City over their pursuit of Hector Bellerin, according to a report in the Mirror.
Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola is believed to be a fan of Bellerin and have made enquiries on the possibility of signing the defender.
It is claimed Guardiola is looking to strengthen his fullback position at the Etihad and has set his sight on Bellerin.
Arsenal have always maintained that the defender is not for sale and there is no chance of him moving to the Etihad and it appears the club is unhappy with the manner of City’s pursuit.
According to the report, Arsenal believe Bellerin is already unsettled because of City’s interest. The Gunners believes City’s interest is making it difficult for the club to reach an agreement with the defender on a contract extension.
The Gunners reportedly promised the defender a new contract in April but negotiations are believed to be very slow and Arsenal chiefs believe City’s interest is complicating negotiations with the player.
Arsenal have now responded by sending a strong warning to Manchester City. The reports claim Arsenal have issued an angry hands off warning to Man City and its football director.
Arsenal are determined to tie Bellerin to a new long term contract and will continue talks with the player’s camp before the start of the season.
