Borussia Dortmund are reluctant to sell Arsenal target Matthias Ginter.
The 22 year old defender has been linked with a move to the Emirates with reports claiming the Gunners are prepared to spend as much as £10m for his services. It was claimed Wenger is a fan of the versatile defender who can also play as a right back.
The speculations have been heightened in recent days after the defender missed Dortmund’s trip to China but it appears the defender is suffering from an infection and he isn’t close to completing a move away from the club as speculated.
Arsenal’s name have been a constant feature in reports linking Ginter away from BVB but Thomas Tuchel has made it clear that the defender would be staying at BVB next season.
“Everything about Ginter has been said.”
“German clubs would like to have him, now English clubs want him” , he said.
“I do not know whether it is true [clubs want him] or they are just rumours, but we have made our point.
“Matthias is our player and will remain our player.”
Arsenal have already completed the signing of 20 year old centre back Rob Holding but the club is still looking to strengthen the defense this summer.
