Arsenal are on the verge of signing Leicester City winger Riyad Mahrez, according to reports.
The Foxes playmaker has been linked with a move to the Emirates all summer and it appears Wenger is close to getting his man.
According to Eurosport via the Metro, Mahrez has already agreed to join Arsenal this summer.
The report claims, Leicster City are trying to convince the playmaker to stay at the club but his mind remains unchanged and will move to the Emirates when the Gunners table a €50m bid.
Arsenal are believed to be keen on Mahrez as Wenger attempts to strengthen the squad this summer, it is believed the French tactician wants an all star attacking midfield trio next season. Mahrez was one of the league’s best performers last season and the midfielder scooped the PFA player of the year award in the process.
Barcelona have also been linked with the Foxes playmaker but the Catalan giants have reportedly dropped its interest in the Algeria international.
Mahrez scored 17 goals and had 11 assists last term as he helped Leicester City clinch their first ever Premier League title.
A move for the midfielder could spell the end of either Theo Walcott or Alex Oxlade Chamberlain’s future at the Emirates.
