Arsenal are prepared to spend big on two players that would improve its attack this summer, according to reports.
Wenger has always stated his desire to spend big in the transfer market should he find the right players and has already shelled out more than £30m on the signing of Granit Xhaka.
According to the Daily Mirror via Goal, Arsenal are preparing to spend £75m on Leicester City winger Riyad Mahrez and Olympic Lyon striker Alexandre Lacazette.
Wenger is very keen on improving the squad ahead of next season which is expected to be one of the most competitive in history. It is believed the French tactician has lined up a £35m move for Mahrez. The Algerian winger is reportedly keen on a move to the Emirates and Wenger aware of the winger’s quality has made signing the winger a priority and would spend as much as £35m.
Wenger is also prepared to spend up to £40m on Alexandre Lacazette. A striker is believed to be one of Wenger’s priority this summer and the manager is keen on luring Lacazette to the Emirates.
Both players would strengthen the squad considerably and would be welcome additions to a team that finished second place last term. Negotiations to sign the two players are believed to be in its preliminary stage but Wenger’s willingness to spend big on these players shows there are exciting times ahead at the Emirates.
