French Ligue 1 side Bordeaux are keen on signing Arsenal defender Mathieu Debuchy permanently this summer, according to reports.
The defender spent last season on loan at the French club and he is now expected to push for a permanent move away from the Emirates.
According to French Publication Le Parisien, Bordeaux have opened talks with Arsenal over a permanent deal for the defender.
It is believed that Arsenal want to offload the French international despite the player having three years left in his contract at the club. Debuchy is said to have strained his relationship with Wenger after he took a swipe at the manager shortly after completing his move to Bordeaux in January.
The defender is no longer in Wenger’s plans for the future and would likely be shipped out this summer.
Debuchy joined Arsenal from Newcastle in 2014 for about £12m and failed to secure a place in the starting line up due to injuries and the superb form of Hector Belerin.
Olympic Lyon have also been linked with the defender this summer but it appears only Bordeaux have opened talks to sign the defender.
Arsenal are well stocked in the full back position with Carl Jekinson and Calum Chambers available to provide cover for Hector Bellerin.
