Arsenal have finally missed out in signing Real Madrid attacking midfielder Jese Rodriguez as he has completed a move to Paris Saint-Germain.
Rodriguez has been heavily linked with a move to the Emirates Stadium this summer but he finally picked PSG as his final destination as he officially signed a £21.25m deal with the Ligue 1 giants.
Real Madrid released a statement on Monday afternoon, saying, “Real Madrid CF and Paris Saint-Germain have agreed the transfer of the player Jesse Rodriguez. The club wants to show its appreciation for the years of dedication and professionalism from the quarry to the first team and wishes him luck in his new career.”
The 23 year old has struggled to command a first team spot at the Bernabeu due to the presence of the likes of Cristiano Ronaldo and Gareth Bale. Things have gotten worse for the forward at Madrid as the arrival of Morata has pushed him further down the pecking order and Arsenal are considering offering him an escape route.
Rodriguez was linked with a move to the Emirates in January but a move failed to materialize as the Spanish giants were not prepared to let the player go mid season.
