Arsenal will have to cough out a large sum of money if they are to sign Wolfsburg’s forward Julian Draxler. The Gunners are reportedly interested in the 22-year-old but his club is reluctant to let him leave. The forward is keen on a move to a bigger club and has informed his club of his desire to leave should they receive a suitable offer for his services but Wolfsburg are adamant he won’t be sold at any price.
The player recently slammed the club for its stand on his future and it is understood he could push for a move away from the club this summer. According to the Daily Star via Sports Review, Wolfsburg would not accept a bid less than £50m if they are forced to sell the forward.
Should Arsene Wenger continue his pursuit of the German international, it means he would have to smash the club’s transfer record to sign the player. The boss is a big fan of Draxler but it is unlikely he would pay over the odds for his services.
Everton are also keen on the forward’s services and it is claimed that the Merseysiders are prepared to spend big on the player. Wenger is not expected to go into a bidding war with the Toffees as it could drive the player’s price higher.
