Arsenal new signing Kelechi Nwankali could be sent out on loan to the Eredivisie in order to gain first team experience, according to reports in his homeland.
The 18-year-old midfielder completed his move to Arsenal on Friday, signing a five-year deal with the club. He joined the likes of Rob Holding, Takuma Asano and Granit Xhaka as the club’s fourth summer signing but his stay at the Emirates could be short lived.
According to Owngoalnigeria.com, the midfielder is likely to spend this season in the Eredivisie and has been offered to Dutch giants Ajax. It is claimed the Gunners have strong ties with Ajax and ex Gunner Kanu Nwankwo who also played for Ajax has informed the Dutch club about the availability of the young midfielder. Kanu played a major role in Nwankali’s move to Arsenal and he is expected to play the same role in the player’s loan move to Ajax.
However, the Dutch giants are yet to indicate their interest in signing the midfielder but there are strong indications he would end up in another Dutch club should Ajax pass the opportunity to sign him.
However, Arsenal are yet to make a final decision on the midfielder’s future, he would train with the first team for now before a decision on his future would be taken by the club.
