Arsenal are preparing a bid for Bayer Leverkusen striker Javier Hernandez, according to reports.
Wenger is working hard to sign a striker this summer but is yet to be successful. He has been linked with a number of strikers and the latest name being linked with a move to the Emirates is Hernandez.
Wenger is currently working on a deal to sign Olympic Lyon’s Alexandre Lacazette but the French club are reluctant to sell the the striker.
Lyon have already rejected a £29.5m bid from Arsenal for Lacazette’s services and it is believed Wenger is preparing an improved bid worth £35m. However, reports in France claim Lyon are prepared to turn down Arsenal’s new bid.
According to reports, Arsenal are now considering making a move for Hernandez.
The striker joined Leverkusen from Manchester United last summer and it appears Wenger is keen on bringing him back to the Premier League.
The striker had an impressive season for Leverkusen last year and his performances didn’t go unnoticed. He scored 17 league goals for the Bundesliga side and could be a quality addition to our squad.
However, signing the striker would not be an easy task as Leverkusen will try to hold on to him but a big money move could be too good to turn down.
