Hull City are interested in signing Arsenal goalkeeper Emiliano Martinez, according to reports.
The 23 year old goalkeeper who is currently behind Petr Cech and David Ospina in the club’s pecking order is now being linked with a move away from the club.
According to HITC Sport, Hull City are interested in signing the goalkeeper on loan.
The Tigers’ first choice goalie Allan McGregor suffered an injury which will rule him out for about six months and the Tigers have earmarked Martinez as his replacement.
Martinez is highly rated at the Emirates and Wenger is keen to see the Argentine international develop properly and will be cautious of where the goalkeeper will be spending next season. However, he is expected to go out on loan, since remaining at the Emirates as third choice will not aid his development.
The Goalkeeper spend last season in the Championship with Wolverhampton Wanderers and made 13 appearances for the club. A move to a Premier League club will be very beneficial to his development as it will offer him the opportunity of testing himself in the highest level week in week out.
The goalkeeper has been on Arsenal books since 2010 and has made just four league appearances for the club.
