AS Roma could join the race to sign Arsenal defender Mathieu Debuchy, according to reports.
Debuchy is being linked with a move away from Arsenal and it is believed the club are prepared to sanction his exit should its demands be met.
The defender is unlikely to be in Wenger’s plans this season and his client has already offered him to different clubs.
Galatasaray and Bordeaux were two clubs interested in the defender but the duo have pulled out of the race due to concerns about the player’s match fitness level and Arsenal’s financial demand.
According to Sport Witness, another option could become available for Debuchy before the end of the transfer window.
AS Roma boss Luciano Spalletti is currently in search of a right back and is now considering a move for Debuchy.
The Serie A club were previously working on a deal to sign Pablo Zabaleta but Guardiola has blocked the move and Roma could now turn to Debuchy.
Debuchy was linked with a move to Roma in the past and the player could finally have the chance to join the Italian club this summer.
Roma have already negotiated a loan deal for Szczesny with Arsenal this summer and wouldn’t find it difficult to negotiate a deal for Debuchy should they step up their interest.
