Arsene Wenger confirmed Arsenal have signed former Everton’s centre-half Shkodran Mustafi and Spanish forward Lucas Perez and the duo are believed to have cost Arsenal around £52m taking Arsenal summer spending to almost £100m.
“We have bought two players, Mustafi and Perez. We had to work very hard to get signings done,” he said. “We have no plans for anyone else now.”
Mustafi, 24, has reportedly completed Arsenal medicals and is set to sign a five-year-deal in the rejoin of 35million pounds, it is believed his weekly wage is tagged at 100k-per week and he is expected to fill in for injured Per Mertesacker.
Arsenal also agreed to pay in full Deportivo’s striker Luca Perez’s buyout clause of £17.1m to make him Arsenal 5th summer signing.
Perez is expected to act as an option for Olivier Giroud upfront before Danny Welbeck gain full fitness having been ruled out till January.
Arsenal also added midfielders Granit Xhaka , forward Kelechi Nwakali, defender Rob Holding and forward Takuma Asano, 21, to their squad.
