Arsenal are planning to offer Jack Wilshere a new deal, according to reports.
The England international joined AFC Bournemouth on a season-long loan in August due to fears he might not get enough game time at the Emirates. He was also recently left out of Sam Allardyce’s first England’s squad and many fear the injuries he suffered in the last two years could jeopardize his career.
However, Wilshere is still highly rated at the Emirates as the Sun via the Daily Express is claiming Wenger has held talks with the midfielder about signing a new deal at the end of the season.
The report claims Arsenal are trying to guarantee Wilshere that his long-term future is at the Emirates by offering him a new deal which will not run out until 2021.
A source close to Arsenal told the paper: “Jack left because he wanted to get more first-team football to get his England spot back.
“He loves Arsenal and wants to remain and the club and the chats he has had with the club have been very positive on both sides.
“Jack is desperate to stay and prove himself to everyone what a top-class player he is.
“The experience about Bournemouth should serve him well.”
Wilshere made his debut for Arsenal in 2008 as a 16 year old and has made over 100 appearances since then.
