Arsene Wenger has hailed Arsenal’s maturity following the club’s win against Hull City on Saturday.

Arsenal eased to a 4-1 victory at the KCOM stadium and Wenger believes the team showed great maturity to win the game.

“We are a bit more mature,” Wenger told Sky Sports. “But it’s early in the season. Let’s just continue to improve and win our games and see where that will go.

“We are ambitious and have a good attitude and spirit. We have gained a bit of confidence from winning a few games.

“We responded well to our first disappointment and hopefully we can build from that.”

“I felt that we played the last 20 minutes without too much purpose to score,” he said. “When it came back to 2-1 you know what can happen, it would have been a shame not to win.”

Arsenal rounded off a tough week in style after the club’s 1-1 draw against PSG on Tuesday and Wenger was elated with the team’s performance on Saturday.

“I was very happy with the performance. We started the game very well, after a very difficult game away at Paris St-Germain, to play away again and win you are always happy.”

The game against Hull was the team’s second away game within a week and coming out with all three points is a great result. The win is Arsenal’s third league win in a row, helping the club climb to second position on the league table. Although it’s still early days but should the club continue its current run of form, we could finally mount a successful title challenge this season.
