Arsene Wenger is concerned about Aaron Ramsey’s injury, via HITC Sport.
The midfielder suffered a hamstring injury in August which was expected to keep him out of action for about six weeks but he has suffered a setback and Wenger is now concerned about the midfielder’s slow recovery.
It was hoped that Ramsey would be available for Saturday’s game against Chelsea but the game will now come too soon for the midfielder. Arsenal are not even sure when he will now return to full fitness.
Ramsey was expected to play a key role for the Gunners this term after his impressive showing for Wales in the Euro 2016 competition but that hasn’t happened yet because of his injury.
Wenger will not rush the midfielder back to action and is prepared to wait until he is 100% fit.
According to the Sun, the boss fears rushing the midfielder back to action could result in a more serious injury. The Welsh international suffered four hamstring injuries between September 2014 and October 2015 and Wenger is keen to avoid such occurrence this time around.
Luckily for Wenger, he has a lot of options in midfield to choose from even in the absence of Ramsey with Xhaka, Elneny, Carzola and Coquelin all battling for two central midfield spots in the starting xi.
