Goonersden brings you news from top football news sites from the likes of ESPN, SkySport, Daily Mail, Daily Star and Metro… We also Analyse football, player, transfer and predict Arsenal starting line-up.

Arsene Wenger has backed the man who will replace him at Arsenal’s dug out to do a good job.

The French man could leave the Emirates when his contract expires at the end of the season and he has backed his replacement to be a success.

The boss believes the club is in a healthy position and should he leave the club, the next boss will have the perfect condition to succeed.

When asked to predict what will happen when he leaves Arsenal, the French man said, as quoted by the Metro.

‘There will be no financial scandal when I leave. The club is on a good footing.’

‘It has good players and a strong team. The club has moved forwards a lot during my time and hopefully the next manager can come in and do even better than I did – that’s all I wish.’

Clubs sometimes find it difficult to replace a manager who have spent many years with them. Despite Manchester United’s financial status as one of the richest clubs in the world, they struggled to replace Alex Ferguson when he stepped down as manager.

We are hoping Arsenal make the right choice by hiring a top manager when Wenger steps down.

AFC Bournemouth’s Eddie Howe and Atletico Madrid’s Diego Simeone are currently favorites to replace the French tactician.
