Arsene Wenger believes we must be consistent if we want to win the league title this season.

For everyone associated with Arsenal FC, winning the league title this season is a priority. It’s been twelve years since we last lifted the title and many believe it is high time we won it again.

The team’s performances so far this season as given us a huge boost and has strengthened our belief that we can triumph this year. We have won six of our first eight games, collecting 19 points from a possible 24.

Our early season form has drawn praises from every corner but Wenger has warned against complacency. The boss says it won’t be easy to win the title so we have to remain focused and perform well consistently.

Speaking in his pre match press conference ahead of the Champions League game against Ludogorets, Wenger said:

“It’s difficult to say, to predict.”

“But what you see after eight games played — it’s tight.

“That shows that it’s down to how well you can play in every single game to keep up there and to fight for the championship.

“We have to show that we can be consistent, I think the team is focused, the team wants to play the football we want, they believe in what we do and with our good ingredients after we have to show the desire, the hunger in every single game.”

Everyone who has been following our club for a long time will know inconsistency has been our major problem all these years. We have done well for majority of our previous seasons, only to fall apart in the crucial stages. Hopefully, when we become more consistent this year, we will be able to end our twelve year title wait which is long overdue.
