Arsenal majority share holder Stan Kroenke has hailed Arsene Wenger’s achievements as boss at the club’s annual general meeting.
Wenger celebrated his 20 years anniversary few weeks ago , marking a period where he won three league titles and five FA Cups. However, majority of the titles came in the first few years of the French man’s reign having won just two FA cups in his last twelve years.
In celebration of his 20th anniversary, Kroenke presented Wenger with a portrait featuring the 210 players that have played under him in his time here.
The owner praised Wenger’s achievements and said the boss was a key factor in his decision to become the majority shareholder of our club, he also went further to state he wants to see us win the Premier League title this year.
He said: “Arsene you’ve always shown commitment, dedication and energy and you brought a new style to English football and our club.
“Also in a world of great scrutiny and pressure you’ve always handled yourself with class.
“We have a great club and are very excited about this season.
“We know we will compete for trophies and always have and would like nothing better than to see you win the championship this year.”
Wenger does deserves praises as he has been an important part of our club all these years. His legacy and idea of working has eaten deep into our club and has enabled us establish ourselves as one of Europe’s top clubs.
Some fans might have turned against him due to the lack of trophies in recent years but the French man has been of so much good to us. His contract expires at the end of the season and we are hoping he will renew with us for at least two more years.
