BIG BLOW- I’m Unsure Of My Future At Arsenal, Sensational Attacker Reveals

Goonersden brings you news from top football news sites from the likes of ESPN, SkySport, Daily Mail, Daily Star and Metro… We also Analyse football, player, transfer and predict Arsenal starting line-up.

Jack Wilshere says he is unsure if his long term future is at Arsenal.

The 24 year old midfielder was allowed to join Bournemouth in August on loan until the end of the season. The purpose of the loan spell is to help the midfielder get regular game time which wouldn’t have been available to him at the Emirates due to the increased competition for midfield places in our squad but he has now revealed he is not certain if he will even return to Arsenal next season.

When asked how he plans to carve a way back into Arsenal’s starting xi when his loan spell ends, the midfielder hinted that there is a possibility he would be playing somewhere else next year.

“I haven’t really thought about my future beyond getting a season under my belt and just trying to Improve as a player,” Wilshere told the Daily Mail, as quoted by Standard Sports.

“I genuinely don’t know if I am going to end up at Arsenal or somewhere else.

“If you’d asked me two months ago if I was going to finish my career at Arsenal then I would have said,

‘Yeah, of course’.

“Two months ago I wouldn’t have seen myself being here, but here I am. And I’m enjoying it.”

The midfielder’s comments wouldn’t go down well with Arsenal fans who want to see him play a key role in our squad in the future.

Wilshere represents the club’s culture having joined us at the age of nine and making his debut at sixteen. He will have just one year left in his contract with us by next summer and should he refuse to stay or sign a new deal, we could be forced to sell him. I’m sure Wenger would not want that and hopefully, he will find a way to convince the player that he has an important role to play for us.
