£58.5m BID Prepared As Wenger Set OUT To Sign Long Time Target

Goonersden brings you news from top football news sites from the likes of ESPN, SkySport, Daily Mail, Daily Star and Metro… We also Analyse football, player, transfer and predict Arsenal starting line-up.

Inter Milan are prepared to rival Arsenal for the signature of Paris Saint Germain star Marco Verratti.

Verratti is a long-time Arsenal target and Arsene Wenger is believed to be a huge fan of the Italian. The Gunners have explored the possibility of signing him in the past but PSG were willing to listen to do business. But his future at the French club has been thrown into doubt after he recently fell out with his boss Unai Emery.

Reports are claiming Verratti has fallen out of favor with Emery and this has reportedly alerted a number of top clubs. Arsenal are among the clubs that have been alerted by the midfielder’s situation and we are reportedly still interested in signing him should he become available.

However, Italian outlet Gazetta Dello Sport via Arsenalstation.com are claiming Inter Milan are leading the race to sign Verratti.

It is claimed the Italian club have lined up a huge bid worth £58.5m to beat us to Verratti’s signature.

Verratti is a quality player and is regarded as one of the best central midfielders in the world. With the current situation of the transfer market, I wouldn’t mind our club going all out to rival Inter Milan for his signature in a big money move. We have already seen the benefit of signing quality players despite their huge fees with the immediate impact of summer signing Shkodran Mustafi a prime example and I personally think Verratti’s wouldn’t be different. The Italian midfielder will also be a perfect replacement for Santi Cazorla whose long-term future is still unresolved.
