Arsenal Lock Horn With Bayern Munich For First Winter Signing

Bayern Munich have joined the race to sign Real Madrid midfielder and long-time Arsenal target Isco, according to reports.

Isco is not a strange name to Arsenal supporters as the midfielder has been heavily linked with a move to the Emirates in the last two transfer windows but for one reason or the other, the move to Emirates has been unable to happen. Speculations about the midfielder leaving Madrid appears to be going stronger by the day and Arsenal have been continually linked with the Spaniard.

Isco who showed he was one of Spain’s brightest talents prior to his move to Real Madrid has seen his career stalled at the Bernabeu. Arsenal and London rivals Tottenham Hotspurs have been making advances to the midfielder to save him from his miserable spell at Madrid but both failed to convince the Spanish club to sell in the last transfer window.

According to Spanish publication Don Balon via Talksport, Bayern Munich have now joined the race to sign the midfielder.

Carlo Ancellotti who worked with Isco at the Bernabeu wants to reunite with the Spaniard again and he will make a bid should Madrid be willing to negotiate with interested clubs.

Although, I am not sure if we have dropped our interest in the midfielder or if we are still interested in his services but I’d like to think we would be better of turning to other quality targets.

Real Madrid may not want to sell because of their impending transfer ban and waiting for them to make a decision on Isco which might never happen will not be the right thing to do.
