Mesut Ozil is set to hold talks with Arsene Wenger amid reports linking him with a move to Manchester United.

Last week, The Sun published a report that Jose Mourinho was lining up a summer move for the Germany international. It was claimed the Portuguese tactician wants to sign Ozil if he doesn’t extend his stay at the Emirates before next summer

And The Sunday Express via The Daily Star now claims Ozil will hold crunch talks with Arsene Wenger to discuss his future.

They claim the talk is to ascertain whether Ozil wants to remain at the Emirates.

Wenger who has urged Ozil to extend his contract if he wants to emulate club legend Dennis Bergkamp is keen to know what the German wants to do.

There is fear among Gooners that Ozil could get his head turned by Manchester United interest, with the German having enjoyed a good relationship with Mourinho when they worked together at Real Madrid. Wenger now wants to know if Ozil harbors the intention of reuniting with Mourinho who he hasn’t hidden his desire to work with again.

Arsenal are keen to extend Ozil’s stay in North London and the talks with Wenger should give us an insight if the German wants to remain in North London too.

Ozil has been a key man for us since he joined from Real Madrid in 2013 and we are hoping he signs an extension with us.

In a separate development, Ozil has reportedly bought an expensive mansion in North London which could mean he isn’t interested in moving to Manchester.
