Goonersden brings you news from top football news sites from the likes of ESPN, SkySport, Daily Mail, Daily Star and Metro… We also Analyse football, player, transfer and predict Arsenal starting line-up.

Arsenal are being linked with another youngster again, this time it is Olympiakos defender, Panagiotis Retsos.

Since the end of the summer transfer window, Arsenal have been mostly linked with talented youngsters. We at Arsenal have an age long tradition of developing youngsters into top footballers and it appears we are not thinking of dropping that culture anytime soon.

One cannot start listing all the names of youngsters we have been linked with in the last few months and Retsos has now joined that long list of talented players.

According to Goal via Squawka, Arsenal are monitoring the progress of the 18 year old defender.

The defender who broke into Olympiakos first team at the beginning of the season is already impressing many with his composed and assured performances. Arsenal scouts have been impressed by his talents and have been assessing him while on international duty.

The defender is not only talented, he is also versatile. He has the ability to play anywhere accross the back four, a trait which Arsene Wenger loves so much, so it wouldn’t be surprising if we firm up our interest very soon.

Retsos still has five years left in his contract at Olympiacos but that shouldn’t deter us from making a bid for the youngster. We appear to know the Greek side so well and we even tried to sign Manolas from them in 2014 before he moved to Roma. Hopefully, our previous contact with the Greek side should give us an advantage in Retsos chase.
