Goonersden brings you news from top football news sites from the likes of ESPN, SkySport, Daily Mail, Daily Star and Metro… We also Analyse football, player, transfer and predict Arsenal starting line-up.

Arsenal are chasing Swedish prodigy Peter Gwargis, according to the Mirror.

The Gunners have been linked with a host of youngsters in the last couple of months and Gwargis is now the latest on Wenger’s radar.

In the annual general meeting held last month, Arsenal chief executive Ivan Gazidis revealed that we will now concentrate on signing some of Europe’s brightest prospects and help them develop into big players for the first team. And now we reportedly have our eye on Gwargis.

The youngster who currently plays for Swedish side Husqvarna FF is highly rated in his homeland and is already being dubbed the next “Mesut Ozil”. At 16, he is already training with his club’s first team which speaks volume of his talents.

The player’s agent Walid Faour has confirmed Arsenal’s interest in the player despite his tender age and also revealed we will face competition from the Netherlands.

Faour told the Swedish media: “Both Arsenal and PSV have sent invitations, but now Feyenoord are the most interested. I’m in Holland right now for a visit to Feyenoord with Peter Gwargis.

“Peter has trained with both U17 and U19s. This is a left-footed offensive football player who many here believe will be a new Ozil.”

I am not sure if an Arsenal move for Gwardis will happen anytime soon but our scouts will certainly continue to keep tabs on his development and should he continue to impress then there could be a big chance of him joining us much later in the future.
