Arsenal manager has given a massive injury update ahead of weekend’s clash, Arsene Wenger revealed Arsenal can continue to function in the absence of Santi Cazorla and new summer signing Lucas Perez.
The Gunners are currently short at the back with Hector Bellerin still out injured and fans believed the team would have done better against Paris Saint-Germain in the Champions League where the game ended 2-2.
There is no doubt Cazorla’s controlling presence was seriously missed on Wednesday ( 23 November ) The Spaniard has missed our last seven games due to an Achilles injury with Wenger confirming at a press conference on Friday the 31-year-old will not be available for our Sunday clash against AFC Bournemouth.
“I don’t think (from) the other night there are any new injuries, everyone is available,” Wenger told a press conference on Friday ahead of Sunday’s Premier League clash with Bournemouth. “Cazorla and Bellerin still out, so we will have nobody coming back.
However, the Gunners have been handed a massive boost as summer signing Lucaz Perez has returned to full training but likely to play against the manager Eddie Howe side.
“Lucas returned to training today for first time, he might be in contention for Wednesday, one training session is not enough to be involved on Sunday.”
