End Of Welbeck- Reports Claims €35m To Make Emirates Switch In Winter

Goonersden brings you news from top football news sites from the likes of ESPN, SkySport, Daily Mail, Daily Star and Metro… We also Analyse football, player, transfer and predict Arsenal starting line-up.

Reports in Italy are claiming Arsenal are prepared to pay up to €35m for Torino striker Andrea Belotti and also claim we may be forced to pay higher to secure the Italian.

The young striker has been on Arsenal’s radar for quite sometime and was linked with a move to North London in the summer transfer window but nothing concrete happened.

The player who had a superb season last term, consistently finding the back of the net for his club has continued his fine form this season and Wenger is now willing to pay heavily to bring him to the Emirates.

Italian publication Gazetta Dello Sport via Sports Witness are claiming Wenger wants to sign the striker for €35m but Torino thinks the fee is too low for the 22-year-old.

The report claims the Serie A club values the striker well over €40m and won’t entertain any bid less than that.

Interestingly, Gazetta suggests the striker’s estimated value in today’s transfer market is closer to €60m and the Serie A club could demand close to that, ridiculous isn’t it?

Considering the amount being quoted, the striker will be a very difficult target for us as Wenger will be unwilling to pay more than what he thinks is the player’s real value.

No doubt, Belotti is a very promising striker but there is no way he is worth more than €40m at the moment.

Foreign clubs always try to exploit Premier League clubs interested in their players and knowing Wenger’s history in handling transfers, he is unlikely to fall a victim.

We could be forced to turn to other targets if Torino refuse to soften their stand.
