Everton have joined Arsenal in the race to sign Torino striker Andrea Belotti,
The Italy international who has scored eight goals in ten appearances this season has alerted top Premier League clubs with superb form but signing the striker will not come cheap as Torino are determined to get the most for their star man.
His performances have continued to draw the attention of big clubs and Tuttomercatoweb via Goal claim Everton have now joined the race to sign the striker.
Liverpool and Borussia Dortmund have also been credited with an interest in the striker but Arsenal are believed to be the most interest in the 22 year old and reports claim we are prepared to spend as much as €35m for the striker.
The increased competition to the striker will continue to put Torino in a strong position in negotiations, which will drive the player’s price up, higher than what we are prepared to offer.
Reports suggest the Italian club already values the player at about £43m and will not begin negotiations unless their valuation is met.
I doubt if Wenger will be willing to pay that much for the striker, our boss has always been against spending over the odds on a striker and will be reluctant to pay beyond what he thinks is Belotti’s right value.
Perhaps, Torino are willing to sell at the right price, I don’t think Everton will provide any serious threat for the striker’s services. We are better placed to challenge for titles and I don’t think any ambitious young player will snub a move to Arsenal in favor of Everton.
