JUST IN- Arsenal Set To Offload This Arsenal MEGA Star After Receiving HUGE Offer

Goonersden brings you news from top football news sites from the likes of ESPN, SkySport, Daily Mail, Daily Star and Metro… We also Analyse football, player, transfer and predict Arsenal starting line-up.

AC Milan and Juventus are interested in signing Arsenal midfielder Santi Cazorla, according to reports.

The Spanish international is currently out of action due to an Achilles and has been flown to Barcelona to see a specialist after suffering setbacks on his course of returning to fitness.

Gooners have definitely missed the midfielder on the pitch since he has been out and many are begin to worry why he is taking long to return to full fitness.

However, there is a bigger cause to worry. Cazorla’s contract expires at the end of the season and it appears Arsenal are not prepared to offer him a new deal yet despite his importance to our team.

According to the sun via the Daily Star, this could be the Spaniard’s last year at the Emirates as AC Milan and Juventus are looking to take advantage of the midfielder’s contractual situation.

The newspaper claims the Italian giants are hoping to sign the midfielder for free in the summer and are lining up a pre-contract package already.

The report claims Wenger is prepared to sell the player in January so as to avoid losing him for free at the end of the season and this is surprising, considering the player’s importance to our squad.

Cazorla revealed a few weeks ago that his priority is to remain at the Emirates and that suggests he is ready to sign an extension if we put one on the table. Why Wenger is considering selling the midfielder in January instead of offering him a new deal is beyond my comprehension.

At 31, he is still one of our best players and it is unthinkable that he would be allowed to leave at the end of the season, especially when he looks like he still has a few years of top level football left in him.

I can’t understand why we have delayed renewal talks with the player until now, considering he is a key player for us but I’d like to think Wenger has a plan in place to keep the midfielder because he could face fans backlash if we lose Cazorla at the end of the season.
