Long-Term Target Reveals He Wants To Complete Arsenal Deal In Summer

Long-time Arsenal target Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang has revealed he is ready to leave Borussia Dortmund at the end of the season.

Arsenal made inquiries about the possibility of signing the Gabonese international in the last summer transfer window but were knocked back by BVB who didn’t want to lose any more of their stars after losing Ilkay Gundongan, Henrikh Mkhitaryan and Matt Hummels to Manchester United, Manchester City and Bayern Munich respectively.

However, Aubameyang has now dropped a huge hint that he could be the next big name to leave the Signal Iduna Park.

In an interview with French radio station RMC, the striker revealed he is eyeing a move to a big club and also reiterated his desire to move to Spanish giants Real Madrid, handing Arsenal a huge set back in the race for his signature.

“ If I want to go to the next level, I need to leave in [the] summer, he said, as quoted by the Daily Cannon.

Real Madrid is still a dream, but there has been too much noise. ”

Real themselves are reportedly keen on reshuffling their attacking department in the next summer transfer window and have been heavily linked with Aubameyang.

The Spanish giants will provide strong competition for the Gabonese services and it will definitely be a huge task to lure him to the Emirates if Wenger decides to pursue a move for the striker.

Dortmund have already revealed that it would take a bid in the region of £70m to tempt them into selling which is definitely on the high side.

If not for anything, i’d love Arsenal to test itself against Madrid in the race to sign Aubameyang as it could be an indicator of how far we have come since the days we lost our best players to rival clubs.

In other news, Arsenal are also eyeing a summer move for Aubameyang’s team mate Marco Reus.
