Arsene Wenger has revealed he will use his instinct to decide whether he will stay at Arsenal or not.

Wenger’s contract has been the subject of speculation since the beginning of the season and there is no Gooner who isn’t aware that the boss’ future is far from certain.

While there are some sections of Arsenal fans calling for Wenger to step down as manager, there is no hiding the fact that the doubt surrounding his future has caused a bit of uncertainty at the club going forward.

There are calls for him to make a decision on his future and while he his insistent he wouldn’t make a decision on his future until the end of the season, he has revealed a decision will be made based on his “gut feeling”.

“My future has always been certain, I focus 100 per cent until the last day of my contract,” Wenger told his pre-match press conference (via Squawka).

“That is the only way you can guarantee the future. We worry about tomorrow. Tomorrow is not in the summer. It is tomorrow. It is not all quantifiable. It is linked with your gut feeling as well.”

Wenger has spent two decades in charge of Arsenal but the last decade hasn’t been the best in terms of winning trophies. The boss has seen some fans turn against him, like the game against Norwich City last season when there was a protest against him after we fell out of the title race.

With our season under threat of collapse again, some fans could begin to raise their voice again which could play a part in Wenger’s decision making.

Wenger has won three Premier League titles and six FA cups with Arsenal, with majority of them coming in his first eight years.
