Borussia Dortmund manager Thomas Tuchel has dismissed reports linking him with a summer move to Arsenal.
According to The Telegraph, Tuchel is on Arsenal’s wish list to replace Arsene Wenger as manager.
Wenger’s contract expires at the end of the season and he is yet to decide whether he will sign a new deal or not. Although the club wants him to stay, it has begun to search for replacements should he decide to quit and Tuchel is one of the names on Arsenal’s four-man shortlist.
But Tuchel has now ruled out a move to the Emirates, insisting he is happy at the Signal Iduna Park.
‘I have a contract in Dortmund and am happy,’ said Tuchel.
‘I can’t say anything about that because I don’t know anything about it.’
Tuchel has been impressive since he took over at BVB in 2015. His style of coaching has apparently caught the attention of Arsenal top brasses. However there are still question marks over the defensive side of his style.
He has spent just two years at BVB and everything seems to be going well at the moment so he wouldn’t be in a hurry to leave.
Juventus manager Massimiliano Allegri is another manager said to be on Arsenal’s wish list and just like Tuchel, he has played down those reports.
