Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has addressed his team after weekend’s victory over Lincoln City in the FA Cup where we won with a high goal margin of 5 Goals from Theo Walcott, Olivier Giroud, Alexis Sanchez, Aaron Ramsey and an own goal from Luke Waterfall.

Wenger has called for the unity of his team following the discontent shown by Chilean international Alexis Sanchez in recent weeks.

Sanchez expressed his frustration after the Gunners were beaten 5-1 home and away in the Champions League, Sanchez allowed his frustration on the pitch spill over in the dressing room where he involved in a bust with his fellow teammates.

Following that incident, Wenger was forced to drop Sanchez to the bench in Saturday’s premier League defeat to Liverpool which ended 3-1, it was reported Sanchez stormed out of a training session and was confronted by Laurent Koscielny over his actions.

Speaking after our win, Wenger revealed his senior players ‘are responsible for the energy’ within the team and urged them to ‘be positive about what went well’.

When asked about the message to his senior players in his programme notes after the game, Wenger told BT Sport: ‘You know how it is, we recently had a big disappointment in the Champions League, after that in our job you have to respond in the next game.

‘Therefore you need players who are solid mentally and united, the experience is easier when you’ve gone through difficult periods before than if you’ve never known it.’
